Kotor was without a sewage system till the 19th century, and in the houses there were septic tanks so that very often there were epidemics, terrible pestilences and cholera which would take the lives of helpless inhabitants of Kotor.
Crkvice Sports Activities Event
This year we prepared a rich sports program. There was also a handicrafts fair of hardworking people from three towns in the Bay of Kotor.
NAUTICA CBC News
The NAUTICA CBC project (HR-BA-ME364) is bringing novelties to Kotor's tourist offer: interactive boards, benches with solar panels, smart interactive bus stops, electric bicycles and their holders, as well as lockers. The intention of the project is to contribute to the development of tourism, respecting the principles of sustainability and energy efficiency through the use of renewable energy sources.
Boka Night
The traditional event Boka Night, recognised as intangible heritage asset, will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2022, starting at 9 p.m. The beginning of the event will be announced by the Town Band concert on boat, and sailboats of the Lahor Sailing Club.
Svi na Crkvice
Treću godinu zaredom, Turistička Organizacija opštine Kotor organizuje manifestaciju pod nazivom „Svi na Crkvice“ sa ciljem promovisanja zaleđa Risna. Predio Crkvica bogat je kulturno-istorijskim građevinama u vidu tvrđava a krase ga i očuvani predjeli, za koje vjerujemo da vrijedi posjetiti.

GET READY FOR THE FEAST! This year's Kotor winter carnival festivities will last from Thursday, February 24, to Monday, February 28. The Kotor Winter Carnival is a unique traditional event with a special significance owing to its centuries-old tradition. The Traditional Kotor Carnival starts on Thursday, February 24, with music and fancy-free program called "For Kotor people", at 18:00 in front of the Main City Gate. X-Waters in Kotor Montenegro
The second edition of the X-Waters Montenegro swimming marathon is taking place in Risan on Saturday, October 9th. Competitors may choose between three race categories: a one-mile race, 4.5 km, 7 km, and the kids run organised at the start, on the beach next to the Teuta Hotel. The kids run starts at 13.30, on the beach next to the Teuta Hotel, and the main race starts at 14.00
