First Boka half marathon

First Boka Half Marathon was recently held in Kotor and Tivat.

Boka Half Marathon is a manifestation of the cities of the two municipalities of Boka Kotorska, Kotor and Tivat, within which a race in the disciplines of athletic running in the 5,000m was organized. and 21.1.km/half marathon.

The organizer of the event is the Kotor Triathlon Club under the auspices of the Municipality of Kotor and the Tourist Organization of Kotor, as well as the neighboring city, the Municipality of Tivat and the Tourist Organization of Tivat, and many other sponsors and friends of the Bay of Kotor.

The most popular half-marathon race was 21 km long with the Start on the Tivat promenade Pina. The route continued through the most beautiful parts of the city of Tivat, the city park, Porto Montenegro, next to the Seljanovo bridge, Saint Roko church and further towards Lepetani. After Lepetan, the route enters the territory of Kotor, so the participants went further along the sea, through the magical Stoliv, Prčanj, and through the fishing village of Muo to the old town.

The fantastic finish and the finish line were located in the center of the old town on the square of Arms, where the participants were greeted by a cultural and entertainment program, the announcement of the winners and a rich lottery provided by the race organizer.

The absolute winner of the 1st Bokeh Half Marathon is Kenyan Simon Kiber Loitaanyang with a time of 1h06min54sec, followed by his compatriot Jean Marie Vianney Myiomukiza, who achieved a time of 1h08min01sec, while in third place was also their compatriot LEKURAA, and came 1 second behind the runner-up – 1x08min02sec.

The winner in the absolute women’s competition of the 1st Bokeh Half Marathon is the participant from Burundi Francine Niyomukunzi, with an incredible time of 1h08min21sec. In second place is the participant from Croatia Matea Parlov Koštro, with a time of 1h12min25sec, while in third place is her compatriot Tea Faber, with a time of 1h18min44sec.

The best runner from Montenegro is Zeljko Dabovic, with a time of 1x17min09sec, while behind him were Marko Kavaja – 1x17min16sec and Perica Vuckovic – 1x17min49sec.

The best runner from Montenegro is Sladjana Perunovic, with a time of 1x24min55sec, while behind her were a member of the Kotor Triathlon Club Milusa Boskovic, with a time of 1x33min10sec and Rada Miladinovic, with a time of 1x36min38sec.

A total of 273 women, 389 men and 29 relays of 3 participants completed the race, which is a total of 749 participants from 27 countries and the world, and if we add to that the number of 55 finishers of the Supplement store pleasure race at 5,000m, we come to number of 804 participants, the first of the 1st Boka Half Marathon and the 1st real racing weekend in Boka, in this form, format and scope.

During the few days of December, the race really revived Kotor and Tivat.
